How we refurbish

This is the process. A given laptop may need more or less of a step. The eBay listing for that unit is the record of what was actually done.
Verify the model
Identity is checked against manufacturer resources for that unit. That includes brands we often see, such as Dell Latitude, HP EliteBook, and Lenovo ThinkPad.
Clean inside and out
Exterior, fans, vents, and heatsink are cleaned as the machine needs.
Service as needed
Work may include thermal paste, storage health, hinges, and ports. Exact work is listed per unit.
Test the basics that matter
Power, display, keyboard, trackpad, ports, Wi-Fi, audio, webcam, and charging.
Record battery health
When the machine reports it, that reading is recorded for the listing.
Prepare Windows when that is the plan
If the listing calls for a clean Windows install, it is installed and fully updated.
Photograph honestly
Wear is shown, not hidden. Photos are meant to match what you will hold.
Apply tamper-evident seals
Security stickers go on the chassis and bottom cover so later opening is obvious.
Pack for shipping
Packed with protection in mind from Central Ohio.
