FAQ
Short answers. Live inventory is still on eBay.
Is this an official HP, Dell, or Lenovo store?
No. Precision Tech Refresh is an independent hobby shop. We often service business-class machines such as Dell Latitude, HP EliteBook, and Lenovo ThinkPad, but we are not an authorized manufacturer store and we do not sell manufacturer warranties unless a listing says otherwise.
Do you sell laptops on this website?
Not yet. Inventory, photos, specs, and purchases are on eBay, under the store name Precision Tech Refresh.
Can I pick up locally in Central Ohio?
Ask on eBay. Local pickup is not assumed. If it is possible for a given machine, that conversation happens through eBay messages.
Do machines include a charger?
Only if the listing says so. What's included is listed per machine, including whether a charger is new, genuine, tested, or not included.
What about data on the drive?
Drives are handled so prior data is not passed on. When a listing calls for a clean OS, that install is part of the preparation.
Why the security stickers?
Tamper-evident seals on the chassis and bottom cover make later opening obvious. That supports honest returns and helps prevent theft and fraud. Seals must remain intact. Broken or removed seals may reduce a refund for loss in value.
How do I ask a question or buy a laptop?
Use the eBay listing or store messages. That keeps the order protected. This website does not take payment.
What operating system is on the laptop?
It depends on the hardware, and it is written on the eBay listing. Windows 11-capable machines get Windows 11 by default. Chromebooks stay on ChromeOS. Intel machines that do not meet Windows 11's requirements get Omarchy Linux. Read Operating systems.
Can I get Omarchy Linux instead of Windows 11?
Ask on the eBay listing before you buy. If we can do it for that unit, we pre-install Omarchy, test it, and ship that way. Do not assume a swap after the sale.
